KLON vs Klone Fancy Lad video clip

Greetings gear-hounds! I shot a clip last week of my Klon versus a DIY clone of the Klon, and it was remarkably close, as far as similarities...in fact, I'd say they're pretty much the same, IMHO. The pedal was named the FANCY LAD, by the builder, (top-cool name!!) and is a one off, custom build, from what I can gather.

As much as I wish it were me that built it, it was not I. There is a site out there, where you can get layouts and schematics for all the killer boutique boxes of love, and build them yourself, and that's where I believe the Fancy Lad pedal came from. So...if you're handy with a soldering iron and tiny components, you can build one too! I'm thinking of building one, just for fun, and to put on another board...but will have to put that plan on the back burner, as I'm swamped in LUTHER-LAND right now...

ROCK ON!

  1. Hey there gearmanndude. Your pedal demos sure are awesome. I think they would even have a certain appeal to someone who doesn't play guitar as you are pretty funny just goofin'
    around as well!

Anyhow I was wondering if you'd ever played or maybe even own a "The Button" tube overdrive. I've been looking at them recently but couldn't find a good demo of it. I built something a little tiny bit like it but mine only runs at 12V. I'm working on coming up with a way to run it at full voltage but haven't come up with anything yet. Anyhow thought that might be a cool pedal for you to review if you could get a hold of one somehow.

I don't know if they are sold anywhere else but there's a page about it on Tube Depot.
